Join Us on Saturday, April 15 to Celebrate the Somers Beach State Park

Join us to celebrate the newest State Park on Flathead Lake’s shores!

Saturday, April 15, 11:00 am, at the new Somers Beach State Park.

Public is invited to join partners in celebrating the newest park on Flathead Lake.

In 2021, MT Fish, Wildlife and Parks purchased the 106-acres from the Sliter family – an expansive sandy beach in winter and shallow waters in the summer. Multiple partners and a huge show of support by the public were instrumental in creating this park.

Join the Flathead Land Trust, Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks, Montana State Parks Foundation, and the Flathead Lakers who are hosting a small gathering at the park with light refreshments, speakers and a tour.

An RSVP is not required. If possible, please carpool as parking space is limited. If desired, bring a lawn chair to seat. Toward the end of the program there will be a tour of the lake shoreline restoration project completed on the property.
